These govern the purchase of products on this site. By placing an order you agree to be bound by them.
Introduction
These Terms and Conditions of Sale govern the purchase of products from Ottica Carraro (“we”, “us” or “our”) through our website at www.otticacarraro.it. By placing an order for products, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
Orders and acceptance
Placing an order. All orders are requests to purchase a product. An order is placed when you complete the checkout process on our website.
Acceptance of the order. On receipt of your order we will send you an order confirmation email. That email does not constitute acceptance of your order. Acceptance and the formation of the contract of sale take place only when we send a second email confirming that the goods have been dispatched (“Shipping Confirmation”).
Refusal of an order. We reserve the right to refuse any order placed with us. This may be due to, among other reasons, the product being out of stock, payment not being authorised, or suspected fraudulent activity.
Pricing and payment
Prices. All prices are those shown on the website at the time the order is submitted and do not include shipping costs, which are added to the total due during checkout.
Payment. We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Payment must be received in full before the products are dispatched.
Pricing errors. If we find an error in the price of any product you have ordered, we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming the order at the correct price or cancelling it.
Shipping and delivery
Shipping costs. Shipping costs are calculated based on the destination of your order and are clearly displayed at checkout.
Delivery times. We aim to dispatch all orders within 5 working days. Delivery estimates are provided for guidance only and are not guaranteed. We are not responsible for delays outside our control.
Risk of loss. Risk of loss and damage passes to you upon delivery of the product.

Handling, packaging, soft or hard case and a special micro fibre cleaning cloth are included in the cost of the spectacles.
Import duties, taxes and customs clearance
Customer responsibility. Orders shipped outside of our operating region (e.g., to the United States and the United Kingdom) may be subject to import duties, customs duties, taxes, and brokerage fees.
Payment of charges. These additional charges are the sole responsibility of the recipient. We have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be.
Consequences of non-payment. If the recipient refuses to pay the import duties, taxes, or brokerage fees, the package may be considered abandoned by the Customs authority. In that event the order will not be eligible for a refund or reshipment, and this will not be a ground for dispute or chargeback.
Returns, refunds and cancellation
Right of withdrawal (EU consumers). If you are contracting as an EU consumer, you have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 calendar days without giving any reason.
Returns policy and refunds. Products must be returned unused, in their original packaging, and in resalable condition. You are responsible for the cost of returning the goods. We will process the refund within 14 days of the day we receive the returned goods.
Cancellations. Orders may only be cancelled prior to receiving the Shipping Confirmation email.
Product information and warranty
Product descriptions. We take the greatest care to ensure that all details, descriptions and prices of products appearing on the website are correct. However, we do not warrant that product descriptions are entirely accurate, complete, reliable, current or error-free.
Warranty. All products sold are covered by the legal guarantee of conformity.
Intellectual property
The content of the website, including text, graphics, logos, images and software, is the property of Ottica Carraro and is protected by intellectual property law.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all liability for any loss or damage of any kind, including without limitation any direct, indirect or consequential loss, whether or not caused by our negligence.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Italy. You agree that the courts of Venice, Italy will have non-exclusive jurisdiction to resolve any dispute arising from these Terms and Conditions.
